 After the husband and I ran the Lake Merritt (Street Path/Sidewalk), we had to do some grocery shopping at Trader Joes on Lakeshore Ave.  We knew before we did our shopping, we had to fuel our tanks  bodies. After all, we ran (at least I did...hubs couldn't hang with me...teehee.) and felt like we worked for anything we ate after.  Anyways, been going to Top Dogs for years, but this was my first time in this location.  They relocated from CVS not too long ago.

You come, you eat and you go. Simple. Quick. Delicious.  I would eat here a lot more if I wouldn't gain weight. But my body is getting old, it doesn't let me eat as much as it used to. le sigh.  I'm not going to say too much about this place. It is a locals favorite and Ill come back when I need a sausage fix. ;).

At Timeless I do not need to, because they make it with almond milk. When I need more than just a coffee, I like to go here and get a quick fix!

YT VIDEO #4 My Go To Makeup

HellO HellO!!

So I filmed this video in July...right after I came back from my fourth of July week in the Stanislaus National Forest. I had long hair then but for those who follow me on instagram, ya know I cut off some inches. Happy Face. Sad FAce. Bittersweet.

Its taken me forever to edit and post this video but it is up now. This is my EVERYDAY whenever I want to look more put together and had more than 10 minutes to get ready, look. Wow, that was a mouth full. This is probably the makeup that I have on, whenever I post a selfie. Hope you like it, and if you didn't...maybe next video?

I have been trying to get rid of all the makeup that I have. In the last 2 years, my main want and goals was to have a white vanity table with a huge makeup collection, all because of watching YouTube beauty gurus. MY Makeup collection did not get too ridiculous but it got pretty big for someone who does not wear makeup everyday. Goals somewhat have met because it looked glamorous. But the truth is, its a nightmare! At least to me. All that makeup gets unused and started to collect dust. There's always gonna be "THE next best thing".

Don't get me wrong, I still love makeup, but I dont want a butt load of it. It truly clutters drawers no matter how much you organize it. There are some days and weeks that its just sits on top of the vanity table. And those plastic Ikea drawer organizers just get stained by eyeliners and lipsticks. And don't forget those little paws (the LEESTERS) that gets into your makeup when you are not around looking. So Month of July, I cleaned out my vanity drawers. I threw out the makeup I knew that it was older than 2 years old. I also asked myself, Is worth the drawer space? Well I use it in within the next 2 months? If it was a no, in the trash it goes.  I save the ones that I dont use but I think people with hooded/mono-lid eyes should not get. But that's another video in the future.

 I gave myself a reality check and started a collection of sunglasses instead lol.

More post laters!

YT Video #3 How I Curl my hair.

Hey Hey!!

So I have decided to cut my hair soon. Probably tonight, haha. I am not going to cut it too short, just a much needed trim of 4-5 inches.  A month ago, I cut blunt bangs to stop the impulse of chopping my hair off like the last time my hair was really short (short for me). I regretted it so much but bleaching causes serious damage. And feeling the dead ends and split ins made me a little cray cray and took the first scissors I saw and cut the heck out of it. Even though I miss my blonde mane, I do not miss the maintenance. Anyways, Here is a video of me curling my hair. Whenever I post a selfie, people tend to comment of my curled hair. Video is also a visual reminder for myself...for future hair decisions. Most likely I will grow out my hair again. I visioned myself with long healthy black hair in my 3 sisters wedding pictures...:). If you know me, I'm a planner! :-P.

MONTH OF JULY SHENANGIANS PT. 1

Hi All!

{me taking a selfie in the middle of highway 4}

I went to the mountains to celebrate the nation's birthday (Fourth of July). I went to my Uncle's Cabin in Arnold, CA. It was one of the best time spent with my family. I was away from the husband for a whole week and at times it was hard, because I had to cater to my children without his help. He is generally the cook of the household, so I had to take the reins for the week we were away.

There is no cell reception up there in Arnold. So if you didn't have WiFi, you would be stranding with your thoughts and/or the company that you came up with.  We used the land-line quite often. My Uncle's cabin is like blast from the past, 70's-80's decor and all. (I'm not going to post any pictures of the inside for their privacy.) It was refreshing to be outside of the hectic city and spend some much needed R&R here.

{Fun Homemade Pizza using Biscuit Crust}

Well I took advantage of my moms specialty, to create quick and fun recipes...so it wasn't all that bad.  My mom loved every minute of it. Like all awesome grandmas out there, Yaya (my mom) spoiled us. Yaya spoiled us with gifts and most importantly LOVE. My mom is one of the rarest beauties that anyone could ever know or meet. I have stated this before, and I will say this again. I didn't have the best relationship with my mom growing up. We don't see eye to eye on some things, but I love how our relationship has blossomed and bloomed ever since I have became a mom, myself.

{mom and her favorite daughter}

On 4th of July, Arnold had a parade in the middle of the Highway 4. The highway was closed off for 2 hours. I got to walk in the middle of it.

Fourth of July week consisted with 4 things:  family, food, fun and face painting.

{the day we created a face painting diva}

{me sporting  my favorite wolf top, being in the mountains, i thought it was appropriate}

{BBQ at my Aunt's House after parade and street faire}
If you want to get out of a funk and get away from the technological crave life, go rent a cabin in the mountains. Live life before the cell phone blew up. It will definitely make you realize how blessed we are with the things we have and enjoy the littlest things in life.

We did so much while in Arnold. We also visited nearby towns, like Murphys and Columbia.  Ill post more later in other posts about it, I took tons of pictures! Stay Tuned for more Posts on what I did in the month of July!

Hope you had a great month of July! Post ya laters!
